Real online jobs

The internet has gotten a bit of a bad name over the years. Scams and grifters are out there trying to make a buck online just like average people. Think about your email inbox. How many spam emails a day do you get telling you that you’ve won the lottery and asking you to please send them your social security number and bank account routing number?  Searching for real online jobs can present some of the same types of scams and lies and you have to know what to look for to verify that the job opportunity you are looking at is one of the real online jobs. In author Evan Margolin’s book Basement Empires: How To Use the Internet to Turn Your Personal Passions Into Financial Freedom he counsels his readers on avoiding some of the most common pitfalls inherent in working or looking for work online.

Using common sense is a big part of being able to tell the real online jobs from the scams. For instance, if you see a job posting that has a very large salary range chances are good it is not a real online job. When the salary ranges $20,000 – 30,000 from the low to the high, you are being scammed by a company that wants a fee for you to gain access to their job postings. Almost without fail, real online jobs will not require you to pay a fee to gain access to the job posting. This is simply good business sense.
